Job Brief
Drillform is seeking a junior to intermediate PLC Programmer to join our team. There will be global travel required for the role in order to properly commission our automated drilling equipment on drilling rigs located around the world.
There is the possibility, with the right candidate for this to be a remote role with a willingness to travel to Drillform’s Calgary headquarters periodically.
Responsibilities
- PLC/HMI Programming
- Electrical design and drafting, including putting together BOM’s and specing out parts
- Field commissioning equipment on drilling rigs
- Remote troubleshooting
Requirements
- PLC/HMI Programming, OMRON Sysmac Studio experience is preferred
- Fundamental understanding of hydraulics
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Field commissioning experience
- Understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Basic computer networking skills
- Willingness to travel globally
